Wade Pfau, Ph.D.

Dr. Wade Pfau is the founder of Retirement Researcher, Professor of Retirement Income at The American College of Financial Services, and the Director of Retirement Research for McLean Asset Management and inStream.

He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University in 2003 with a dissertation about Social Security reform, and became a CFA charterholder in 2011.

Dr. Pfau is the author of several best-selling books on retirement, including How Much Can I Spend in Retirement?: A Guide to Investment-Based Retirement Income Strategies and his latest: Retirement Planning Guidebook: Navigating the Important Decisions for Retirement Success.
